    Abstract:This research interviewed three foreign teachers separately about their teaching experience in China and their opinions about English teaching and learning in China. The main methods used in the research are structured interview, semi-structured interview, and tape-recording. It is observed that in the foreign teachers view, the Chinese college students’ English language background is not solid enough; Language is a real problem; The English resources for English learners are very limited; The Requirement of college English teaching curriculum should be higher for college students especially for English majors; Chinese English learners depend heavily on their native language. These problems showed by the research call for an imperative reform of English education in China and an urgent need to reform the college English teaching curriculum.

    I. Introduction
    Enthusiasm for learning the English language is currently sweeping through most cities of China, boosted by both Beijing's successful bidding for the 2008 Olympics and China's imminent entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO). Check out any English language teaching website, and you’ll find that the jobs offered in China far exceed those in other countries. China’s been doing pretty well of late. First Hong Kong, and then Macao were reintegrated. If English was doing all right before the successful bids for accession to the WTO and to host the 2008 Olympics, now it becomes more important.     Chinese people are longing to communicate with the peoples from other countries, but language barrier was a very big problem, learning foreign languages has become very popular overnight. The market is flooded with various kinds of English study software which suit the demands of people with different English efficiency. Since English is a foreign language, till now researchers are still looking for an efficient way to master it. The best method of learning English well needs to be discovered. Due to this, there a lot of studies and researches have been done from different aspects, trying to find a good way to improve English teaching in China. Such as students’ and teachers’ role in the process of English teaching, the culture and education system that may affect English teaching in China, etc.
